Wijngaard Hof van Twente

Wijngaard Hof van Twente is one of the biggest vineries in the Netherlands and holds a large share of the local market as part of the cooperation Neerlands Wijnmakers (Dutch Vineries). Together with over 30 other farmers, almost 200.00 liter of wine are produced each year, spanning from white to red, sparkling and fortified.

Hof van Twente is situated in the east of the Netherlands, close to the German border, embedded in large fields, with rivers and forests running through the landscape. On sandy soil,  the wines are made from natural healthy, fungus resistant plant varieties, perfect for the local climate. Through intensive work with employees that experience distance to the job market (inclusionwork) the company culture is shaped by, respect, support and understanding of one another. The company consists out of different departments, such as the “Zorgboederij” (inclusionsfarm), the vineyard, the vinery and the Sueterie. The Sueterie is the companies winestore and offers more than 70 seats for guests and visitors to enjoy a wine tasting on the newly build terrace between the vines or inside the wintergarden. With a small gastronomy part, it is perfect for students that like to have versatile workplace, learn about the vinicultural aspect of the wineindustry and get a taste of the newly emerging wine region, Twente.

The company offers a room with kitchen and bathroom, free of charge, for their interns (1 room available).
